These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Unpatched Tech website and your purchase or use of products and services offered by Unpatched Tech (“Unpatched Tech,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing our website, placing an order, submitting equipment for service, or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms.

Our online store is powered by Shopify, which provides the ecommerce platform that allows us to offer products and services to you.

You may use our website and services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You agree not to use our website, products, or services in a manner that violates applicable law, infringes the rights of others, interferes with the operation or security of our website, or attempts to gain unauthorized access to any system or account.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel service where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law.

2. Products and Availability

Unpatched Tech sells products that may include new, used, refurbished, restored, customized, modified, or otherwise previously owned electronics, gaming hardware, computers, accessories, components, and related products.

Because many products are used, refurbished, custom-built, discontinued, or limited in availability, individual units may vary slightly in appearance or condition.

We make reasonable efforts to accurately describe and photograph our products. Colors, cosmetic condition, packaging, accessories, revisions, and other characteristics may vary unless specifically guaranteed in the product listing.

Products and quantities are subject to availability. We may discontinue or modify products at any time.

3. Used and Refurbished Products

Used and refurbished electronics may exhibit normal signs of prior use, including scratches, scuffs, discoloration, wear, replacement components, or other cosmetic imperfections.

We will make reasonable efforts to disclose significant known defects or condition issues.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in the product description, original packaging, documentation, accessories, and manufacturer warranties are not guaranteed to be included with used or refurbished products.

4. Modified and Custom Products

Certain products offered by Unpatched Tech may be customized, restored, upgraded, repaired, or modified from their original factory configuration.

Modifications may include replacement shells, displays, storage devices, lighting, controls, internal components, software configurations, or other upgrades.

Modified products may no longer qualify for the original manufacturer's warranty or support.

Unpatched Tech is an independent business and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or authorized by the manufacturers of products we service, restore, modify, or resell unless expressly stated otherwise.

5. Custom Orders

Custom-built or made-to-order products are produced according to the options selected or specifications agreed upon when the order is placed.

Because custom products may be specifically produced for an individual customer, cancellation, modification, return, and refund eligibility may differ from standard inventory.

Any special restrictions applicable to a custom product will be disclosed during the ordering process or in the applicable product description.

Estimated completion dates for custom work are estimates rather than guarantees unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

6. Repairs and Customer-Supplied Equipment

Customers may submit eligible equipment to Unpatched Tech for repair, restoration, modification, diagnosis, or other services.

Before performing work, we may inspect or diagnose the equipment and communicate recommended work, pricing, or additional issues discovered during service.

Electronic equipment—particularly older, previously modified, damaged, or malfunctioning hardware—can contain pre-existing problems that are not immediately apparent.

We are not responsible for pre-existing defects, ordinary deterioration, undisclosed prior repairs or modifications, or failures unrelated to the work performed by Unpatched Tech.

If additional problems are discovered that materially change the scope or price of the requested work, we will seek authorization before performing additional chargeable work.

7. Customer Data and Backups

Repairs, upgrades, modifications, restoration, troubleshooting, and hardware failure can result in the loss or corruption of stored data.

Customers are responsible for backing up important data before submitting any device to Unpatched Tech whenever reasonably possible.

Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing, Unpatched Tech does not guarantee preservation or recovery of data stored on customer-supplied equipment.

We will use reasonable care when handling customer equipment and data accessible during service.

8. Pricing and Payments

Prices displayed on our website are subject to change without notice.

Applicable taxes, shipping charges, and other charges will be displayed during checkout when applicable.

By submitting payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the selected payment method and authorize the applicable charges associated with your purchase.

We reserve the right to correct genuine pricing, inventory, or listing errors. If an error affects an order already placed, we will contact you regarding available options, including cancellation and refund where appropriate.

9. Orders

Submission of an order does not necessarily constitute final acceptance of the order.

We may decline or cancel an order for legitimate reasons including inventory errors, payment problems, suspected fraud, listing errors, shipping restrictions, or inability to fulfill a custom request.

If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, the applicable amount will be refunded according to the original payment method or as otherwise required by law.

Shipping estimates are estimates and may be affected by carrier delays, weather, holidays, address issues, customs processing, and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete shipping information.

Customers should promptly contact us regarding packages that arrive damaged, incomplete, or materially different from the order.
